Master’s Celebration

The Master’s Celebration began in Arizona.  The Arizona District started doing something special for their Master Tour Riders and Co-Riders in 1993.  The first events were Master's Breakfasts at the District Rally.  In 1996, a Chapter Educator had nearly his entire chapter ready to advance to Master Level!  The Arizona District Educators got together with that chapter (AZ-C) and planned the first Master's Celebration.  It was held in Laughlin, Nevada at the AVI Hotel/Casino.  A special room rate from Friday through Sunday was arranged at the hotel as well as a banquet and presentation, hospitality room, and 50/50.

Invitees to that first Master’s Celebration were Masters, Masters to be newly presented, Chapter Directors, Educators, District & Region Staff, as well as anyone from National that was able to make it.  There were a total of 27 new Masters and 117 attendees at that first Master's Celebration.

As the Buddy System developed, mentored members at lower levels of the Rider Education Program were invited to attend as well.  This concept provides an additional opportunity for the Masters in the Buddy System to mentor their 'buddies.'  It is a dress up weekend and a great deal of fun.

In 2005, the Master's Celebration became a Regional event.  It will take place from Friday, February 18 through Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Ramada Express in Laughlin, Nevada.  There were Co-Rider Seminars, First Aid/CPR and other seminars.  There were guided and unguided rides available as well as other fun happenings with prizes, etc.  There was a Grand Prize Drawing and two 50/50 drawings and lots of FUN.
